WHAT IS PATH?

PATH is a non-profit, all-encompassing, non-partisan corporation known as the Professional Association of Travel Hosts, Inc. PATH's members are comprised of Host Agencies only.

PATH is governed by its Executive Committee, elected by its Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is comprised of owners and executives of Travel Host Agencies.

The purposes of PATH are as follows:

 To establish a Code of Ethics and Performance Standards for Host Agencies

 To bring educational and training opportunities to its members and their Affiliated Travel Agents

 To further communications between the Host Agency member, its Affiliates and Travel Suppliers. Please refer to our Bylaws for more information concerning our goals and missions.

The Travel Host Agency has increased significantly in the past three years bringing with them an array of business models that has confused what the Host Agency is about. This has resulted in the need of a professional society of Host Agencies that want to establish operating standards with strict enforcement among its members.

The Travel Supplier presently has access to Home-Based Travel Agents through Home-Based Travel Agent membership associations who represent nearly 10,000 Home-Based Travel Agents. Host Agencies with their Affiliate Home-Based Travel Agents account for the other half of the entire Home-Based Travel Agent market. These Affiliates are probably the most elusive for the Travel Suppliers.
