Nancy Kist at CareerQuest

"Career Quest Training Center is an online training center for new agents entering the travel industry. Upon completion of our program, the next step to a successful travel career is linking with a good host agency – one that will provide the new agent with the support they need," said Nancy Kist, President of Career Quest Training Center. "This is why Career Quest has become a member of PATH. We want to be able to refer our graduates to their members and be able to offer PATH members ongoing education and discounted tuition."

Chris Morse at Corporate Travel USA and The Travel Center USA

Organizations such as OSSN and NACTA have helped the independent travel agent contractor be more successful in today's Travel Industry. ASTA and ARTA also try and help the individual travel agency become more successful. They all have their rules, regulations and membership programs.

I joined PATH to make sure that the top Host Agencies all played by the same rules and regulations. I wanted to join an organization that checks, monitors and provides leadership to legitimate Host Agencies in the U.S.

A Host Agency is very important to the Travel Industry and to independent contractors. Host Agencies have to be on the top tier of the industry to make sure that other organizations look up to PATH to make sure they are helping and supporting the industry!

Ron Sanders at IT Travel Group

Why is PATH valuable to the travel industry? Membership in PATH will assist in the process of "weeding out" those Hosts who do not offer a quality program. Hopefully as PATH continues to grow in membership, PATH will be able to work in conjunction with the travel vendors and travel associations to curtail the sales efforts of the card mills.

Kathleen Kavanagh at Globus Brands

Why did you join PATH? The Globus Family of Brands works closely with the Home Based Travel Agent community. PATH opened up to us an opportunity to work within a professional framework with these agents. It cleared the air for us as a supplier to know who legitimately supports Home Based Agents and is willing to work with suppliers to provide the necessary educational opportunities.

Why is PATH valuable to the travel industry? There is so much "buzz" about the Home Based Channel, it is refreshing to see a guiding force to help agents see their way. So many times as a vendor, I am asked, "What is a Host? Do I need it? There are so many." I can refer them to www.pathonline.travel and they can research for themselves what they need to know.
